Peoria Civic Center Hires Event Manager

December 21, 2011 (Peoria, IL) – The Peoria Civic Center recently hired Kristin Etherton as an Event Manager.  Her responsibilities will include coordinating client needs with Civic Center staff to assure proper set-up and smooth operation of events. Ms. Etherton’s duties at the Civic Center include obtaining client needs for physical set-up, security, parking, food service, staffing and ticketing; preparing event cost estimates and supervising staff.

Ms. Etherton grew up in Peoria, IL and earned a bachelor’s degree in Advertising from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2011.  As an undergraduate, she completed an internship with SJ Broadcasting where she was responsible for promotions and events.  At the University of Illinois, she was actively involved with her sorority, Alpha Phi, and the American Advertising Federation.  Ms. Etherton is looking forward to her new position at the Civic Center.
