Peoria Civic Center Theater Ranks in as a Top Theatre Venue Worldwide

The Peoria Civic Center was included in Pollstar’s “2012 Mid-Year Worldwide Ticket Sales Top 100 Theatre Venues.” Pollstar is a trade publication covering live entertainment around the world. The Peoria Civic Center ranked in at 69, noting 43,690 tickets sold for shows playing between January 1, 2012 and June 30, 2012. Other notable theaters making the list include the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Fox Theatre in Atlanta and Radio City Music Hall in New York.  

The study looked at each venue in terms of tickets sold for the first half of 2012. The Peoria Civic Center Theater continues to be an economic generator for Peoria, from concerts to comedians and our Broadway Theater Series. As we are preparing for our biggest Broadway season ever, we are showing that live entertainment plays well in Peoria!
